hi

can anyone tell me the difference between a B9ES and a B8ES?

when i bought the bike it had a B8ES in it but at the bike shop the manual listed B9ES

The number is the heat range of the plug. The 8 is hotter than the 9. If u lug it around sometimes a hotter plug works a little better.

Oh ok thanks for that.i bought the B9ES so i'll put it in and try it and see how it runs

yea had the same on mine

bought the 9 and bought an 8 really no difference imo in performance for me.
If you cant fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.

The B8ES tends to run a little cleaner in the KDX. I run B8ES's and have never fouled a plug. I tend to swap them out after a year whether they need it or not.
