Looks like the pin, the hole on the frame or peg are worn. The peg is floppy.

Looks like I need an over-sized pin. Any idea?

KX pins are longer, but the same diameter. Another option would be to have the hole welded and re-drilled (the "whole lot of work and a pain in the butt"option). Is it the pin or the hole? If the other side is tight you can try it's pin and peg to see if its the frame mount hole or the foot peg hole/pin. You might also try Lowe's or Home Depot or Ace Hardware and look through the hardware pins.

You could even make some out of some cut off bolts if you need to. Get a bolt that fits everything snugly with a long enough smooth shank and cut it down to the right size. Might be cheaper then pins but will require more labor.

Floppy sounds like a spring issue. Even with a worn peg and pin it shouldn't flop with a good spring.

The right side is nice and tight. But the left side is loose and floppy.

Worth $30 to keep the peg pin clean?

Up here in the PNW it's just another place for mud and water to collect and sit unnoticed. My pegs get washed like the rest of the bike and then I hit the springs/pins with some WD40 right after to evacuate the water, never had trouble with them (other than trouble staying on them sometimes )

sounds to me like shoulder bolts would be the way to go
