1990 kdx 200E2

Hi my name is jay and i am new to the kdx but own a 2004 200 and a 90 200 i have been researching the motor swaps into 125s does any one know if it matters what year 125 i get to put my 1990 E2 motor in? thanks. Also curious on some recomendations on putting the upside down forks on my 2004 is it worth it? any ffed back would be greatful

If it were me, I'd drop the '04 motor in a KX chassis instead...easier time fitting it, less issues with exhaust routing especially. But it has been doen with an E-series as well. 99-up KX125s make the best transplants, cheap and easy to find parts for them. Check out the Hybrid section, you will likely find the answers to all the questions you haven't thought of yet

The 03 and up KX125 is the best option for the E-series motor.
Besides the fact that it is the newest KX design, it uses a read head stay as does the E.
The older 99-02 KX uses a front head stay.
The H-motors use both front and rear and you can use modify the head either way.
