countershaft circlip

Post by canamfan »

just a quick note, I noticed my front sprocket circlip was a little loose. (made a mental note to get another) whoops to late it came off while riding, along w/ the sprocket, locking up the rear wheel. Lucky I was across the rode from my house in the neighbors woods. Now I have two, a new one holding the sprocket on and a spare. It's a good thing to have on hand. You may want to check yours.

Hmm, never had a problem with that before. I do have a new one on mine so I should be good for another 10+ years.

Mine looked a bit loose. I debated on ordering a new one. Glad I did now. Will do the swap when it gets in. Might keep the old one in the tool kit bag. Just in case.
In dog beers, I've only had one.

FYI some of the cheapo counter sprocket don't fit perfectly and are quite loose, i think the renthal are the one are are fitting well on the spline and won't fubar it.
keep an eye on that too.
