KDX 250 First Ride Issues

Howdy good ppl.

Took my KDX for it's first thrashings and have some issues.

1. Clutch pedal snapped off. My issue is that it was previously welded on and I don't have any other choice other than tacking it back in place. I'm not willing to spit the case.

2. Front fork seals are shot, I'm OK with replacing these though. I'm just not happy about issue No 1.

You guys have any advice for issue 1?

Cheers
Mike

i think you just have to take the clutch cover off and replace the shaft

Assuming you grind down the glob of metal on the end of the shaft, it can be pulled out the other side without splitting the cases.

WOW!!! What a mess!

Also, it is normally called a shift lever.

Yeah, what he said! I would try to source an new shift shaft and shifter and replace that mess. It is easier to do than you think!

It's a shame when people do stuff like this....I'd personally take dremel with a cutoff wheel and cut that crap off. Pull n replace shaft.

You can say that again.

Yes, a try with a Dremel may be the way to go (or air powered cut off wheel)
