have you met the twins?

Post by diymirage »

took this shot in the garage today, this is the first time both girls are up and running

Image

the one on the left is my daily driver, and definatly daddies favorite
she has KX forks, a KX style headlight, a Bills pipe, pro taper bars and a street title

the one on the right is my little problem child
she has a rebuild top end, full FMF exhaust (fatty), maier MX style rear fender and shorter handle bars for quicker woods manouvering
this one is always trying to one-up her sister and not afraid to get the jump on her
there are even rumors she has a full make over in the works but more on that later

i thought of letting her go out on the town to go get a new one but you know how kids get at this age, you give them tree reign to get a haircut and they come back with a green/purple dye job

wait, she already is purple/green
maybe black/green?

its a huge improvement over stock for sure
cant really say how the two bikes compare to each other, ive only putted the little sister around the yard a few times
i got her with a blown top end and just recently go her going again (as a matter of fact, today was the first time she fired up on her own power)

i should really compare gearing on the bikes to see if lil sister realy pack a bigger kick or not

Is there any chance that the little sister could be the red headed step child? I think it would be better if it could be.

I had a 96 or so KX 80 when I was about 14. It had the purple like that and I hated it at the time but mow I kinda dig it. It would match my X2 that looks like this one:
