Hey Guys,

Finally got my KDX 250 92" cleaned up and started although I now have a front sprocket oil seal leak. I have a new seal ready to go in only problem I cant take the old one out? I tried prying it out with an hex key but it wont budge, it's moved out a little but not much.

Does anyone have any suggestions / proven processes?

Cheers
Mike

Never mind got it out with a flat head screw driver by holding it on an angle, came out second tap. Do I need to grease or oil the new seal though? Saw on-line some guys just use engine oil on the new one then tap it in, is this ok?

Yeah, any kind of lubrication along the lip of the seal, and tap tap tap'a'roo.

I know you already have the seal changed but I have one of these that works great for changing seals with any kind of shaft in the hole.

Seal is in (TAP TAP TAP). I figured out I needed two O rings as well. There were none when I took the old seal out, it was as though they has disintegrated.
