1998 kdx 200 wiring diagram
If possible does anyone have a wiring diagram on this model? This bike wiring is a mess and for some reason I am not getting spark. I installed a brand new coil and I also did away with the kill switch thinking it might have shorted out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try the Kawasaki.com site, select your bike and then Users Manual, it's a free download -->

If you're getting no spark, First thing to check would be output from the stator. Yellow lead from the magneto is the lighting coil, White/Red is ignition coil. You can check with a multimeter and should have voltage when you crank the engine. If so then likely culprit is the CDI unit (seeing as you already replaced the ignition coil. If not then you may have a shorted stator. Certainly don't want to ride without the kill switch. As a side note, a quick and dirty check for your lighting coil is turn on the headlight switch and kick the bike over while someone watches the headlight. If it lights the coil is ok. Doesn't help with your ignition problem tho

Anyone used the replacement stator from RMstator? There's a dealer in Vermont that sells them.

Not a motorcycle one, but I used an RMStator on my 98 Sea-doo and it works great, was a fraction of OEM, and the build quality was pretty high on the unit I got.
