What Pipes?
Hi,
Ok, bought custom sticker kit to brighten up the '93, have had engine serviced, and it is running like a dream! The black pipes however look terrible! What pipes would one suggest(including a silencer, that's also basically destroyed!)
Thanks!

For a '93 E series bike you have two options, FMF Fatty or DG. I'm running the Fatty and it works fine. Not the toughest built pipe but it works.

Re: What Pipes?
Your stock silencer should be aluminum, and a really nice unit. Has yours been painted black, or replaced with something else?
I have the DG pipe on my 89 and like it a lot. dirtoverstock.com has them in stock, NOS.

Re: What Pipes?
Yep. I run my stock silencer with the Fatty pipe and it sounds good without being too loud and I'm still off road legal. The Powercore silencer is NOT legal for off road use and will make your bike louder which is not a good thing in today's political climate.Julien D wrote:Your stock silencer should be aluminum, and a really nice unit.

Don't forget procircuit, have one on my E and love it. They also make a sparky for it.

Re: What Pipes?
Pro Circuit did make one but it has been discontinued for some time. Used or NOS is the only way to get one now. I know as I tried my best to locate one for my build and gave up.bmann wrote:Don't forget procircuit, have one on my E and love it. They also make a sparky for it.

My pipe is black and the silencer is aluminium. but the pipe and the expansion chamber is dented beyond repair I reckon. Will check out the site.Julien D wrote:Your stock silencer should be aluminum, and a really nice unit. Has yours been painted black, or replaced with something else?
