kdx 220 top end power
Hey guys just got to ride my new to me 00 kdx220. Bike is almost showroom clean and has fmf woods pipe, power core 2, no air box lid, recent wiseco top end, kx125 forks. I came off a cr250 and am used to a healthy top end hit. This kdx seems to sign off and flat line where my cr took off. Is this normal? Will the RB mods help this issue? Any help is appreciated.

You will probably want to get a rev / desert pipe to get some more top end out of it. And check out the jetting.

Ok. Whats the dessert pipe gonna do to the low end power? Cuz I gotta admit I love being able to loft the front end off idle in technical terrain.

Re: kdx 220 top end power
The desert pipe will not affect low end much, if at all - there is plenty of low end with the rev/desert pipe on a 220. Aftermarket reeds, if you don't already have them, make a difference too. A 220 set up this way is a low through mid with upper runout but no big upper rev hit - perfect for woods.
