Transmission Oil Change
What type of transmission oil should I use in my 2005 KDX 200, can I use engine oil for the transmission? This is very confusing to me.

Do a search and you should find a few threads on this topic.
Yes you can use engine oil but make sure it is not "Energy conserving". Really you could probably use just about any oil but results may very.

Re: Transmission Oil Change
I like olive oil. I bet you could use it, actually. Like rbates said, there is loads of info on it. To make it brief, yes, you can use motor oil. The energy conserving thing should be noted, but doesn't always really make any difference. You can also use gear oil. Safest bet is motorcycle specific transmission oil or ATF. I'm still betting olive oil would work wonderfully. Oil changes would be pricey though....
