KDX250 Big Bore?

Thinking ahead to my hybrid build and was thinking about going with one of Eric Gorr's 265cc big bores on theKDX250 engine with the "mo better" porting. I figure with what it is going to cost for a replate, gaskets, new piston and rings, etc., the BB kit would only be about a $100 more. Not sure if anyone here has tried one of his 265cc kits but, if so, was it a very noticeable power gain? Any odd quirks with jetting or anything else? Anybody think this would be a bad idea or a good one? I know I would find some over at TT that have used his 265 kit but I would rather hear from the KDXrider community first.

In my experience any time you mess with something then you are asking for problems. But with that being said a 265 wouldn't be that big of a jump so the engine should perform simular to stock. Porting can be a good thing, and a bad thing. But if they have done it before then they probably have it worked out. For me I think I would be more inclined to go with a big bore kit then having carb work done to get more power.
