Little spring in fork

Post by Dekon »

Well I finally got my fork apart, so I have a question about the inernals. When I separated the sliders, I guess I pulled them apart a little to hard and the fork cylider came flying out. Well needless to say the all the pieces flew around the garage. Now on to my question. The little spring(I think it is a bottoming spring), where does it go? Does it go inside the upper tube and the cylinder slides throught it; or does it go below the upper tube and the lower tube. I am afraid to pull the other fork apart for fear of a repeat. BTW, the manual is not very clear about assembling the forks. Thanks for the help.

Little spring in fork

It goes on top of the rebound piston, as it cushions when the fork tops out (top-out spring)
