Put new grips on and now throttle doesn't return
I put new grips on and now when you give it gas it just stays and does not return. You have to turn it back. Could use some help here. Yes I am new to bikes this year, Thanks

Did you use grip glue? If so it probably got between the tube and the bar. Or if you also replaced the bars you might have left the sticker on the bars where the tube goes. I have seen both problems.

My KDX had this problem with rubber cap around the throttle housing catching the doughnut around the grip.

Everything on the grip itself appears to be OK. I loosened the barkbuster, checked for rubbing/glue and it looks ok to me. Pulled the rubber cap back. HMMM???

Did something get out of place in the throttle housing when you were putting the grip on?

Make sure the throttle assembly didn't slip further onto the bar when pushing the grip on. If it did, then the end of the grip might be hanging up on the end of the bar.

If you have barkbusters, there should not be a rubber cap on the end of the grip. You have to cut it off flush with the end of the throttle tube.
