No start after sitting for 3 Weeks?

Going to drain gas out of the carb tomorrow plus pull the plug and check for spark. Bike was running well before I went on vacation. I tried to start it the other day with no luck. Anything else I should check?

Just checked the plug. Got a nice spark so I'm thinking bad gas or something got gummed up in the carb?

My guess would be the carb.

Was the plug fouled? If so, you could have had a leaking fuel valve or float needle that allowed a bunch of fuel into the bottom end. You might want to kick it a bunch with the plug out and the exhaust off to clear it all out and then try to start it with a new plug.

Happened once to me. Drained the carb, gave a quick shot of carb cleaner up the main jet while working the throttle. Fresh gas and it ran fine. Sometimes it seems you get some bad gas and it seems to gum up when sitting quicker then at other times.

Plug wasn't fouled. I even tried a new plug and kicked a bunch of times. When I took the new plug out, it was still dry which leads me to think it's not getting gas from the carb. I haven't had time to drain and clean the carb yet; I'm hoping to have an opportunity to look at it this weekend.

I normally put Stabil into everything that runs on gas if it's going to sit for a while. I don't know why I forgot to do the same with the KDX. Stupid me.

Shouldn't need stabil for 3 weeks. 2T oils generally stabilize fuel anyway.
