Cleaning motor

Post by Dekon »

The motor from my '89 is a filthy mess. It is covered in pre-mix that leaked out of the breather tubes, a blown rear shock, and spooge from the pipe. I know I probably should have cleaned it when it was in the frame, but I did not. What can I clean it with? I do not want to get water or any other foreign matter in the motor. Right now I have rags stuffed into the intake boot and exhaust flange to keep objects out.

I have used the expandable plugs meant for quick fix frost plugs on cars in the intake and exhaust port then a bolt or something simular in the transmission vent then pressure wash.
