I finally got one, but now I have no idea how to wire this up I have a UFO Twins headlight, anyone else have a similar setup?

The voltage regulator is easy as pie. Just wire the VR's yellow to the stators yellow output wire. Then wire the VR's brown wire to the stators black wire and you are done!

what about the other end of the yellow and black wires? I know the yellow goes to the on/off switch and the black I believe goes to the CDI?

It doesn't matter. All you have to do is "T" into them. The best way is to strip a bit of the insulation off the stator wires near where you plan to mount the VR. Then wrap the VR's wires on the proper ones and solder them on and seal with electrical tape or, even better, liquid electrical tape. However, you can make small "Y" sections to insert between the yellow output to the switch and the black to the CDI and use crimp on bullet type connectors and it will work just as well.

works great, now it's time to rewind my stator with 18 gauge wire

from what I read on Slick Nick's post, it looks like I will have really bright lights right off of idle with this setup. I will be running 2 - 35w headlight bulbs and a 23w taillight

does anyone think that 18ft of wire will do the job?

18 feet is not enough. Mine required 37 feet. Buy a 50ft roll and you should be good.

Yes, 18ga works great. It is what Slick Nick used on his stator rewind and his results were excellent.
