Aftermarket replacement for CASE-CHAIN?

Post by amstel78 »

Was wondering if there was an aftermarket replacement out there for Kawasaki pn# 36014-1154 CASE-CHAIN which is the white plastic shield that bolts on to the swingarm:

I'll buy OEM if there's nothing else cheaper/better out there. Or, should I just take it off completely?

I tossed mine. If you look at the pics of my bike you will see I'm not running it. In muddy conditions it just gives the mud something to stick to and it isn't really needed IMO. YMMV.

Most "dirt" bikes don't even have one. The later H's never did.

Like SS109 said it will probably hold more mud then it will deflect.

Good point about the mud; I didn't consider that. Will take it off today.
