Spark plug

Post by Dekon »

The Kawasaki service manual for 1989 states that the spark plug is a NGK B9ES, but I noticed a lot of people are running a NGK BR9ES. Any advantage to running a resistor plug?

Not really. Also, don't run the 9, run a B8ES or BR8ES.

Either one is OK, but if you are not in a desert or giving it hell most of the time, I think an 8 works better for most people.

No problem. On my 1994 KDX200, it was black and wet until I switched from a 9 to an 8.
