Fork boot replacements

Post by amstel78 »

I need to buy a pair of fork boots for my 91 KDX200. I didn't realize that there were so many different sizes/choices. Not knowing the exact specs of my front fork dampers (I just picked up the bike Saturday), would someone kindly tell me what size boot would fit?

For example:
These are supposed to fit 30-40mm tubes with up to 11" of travel:

OTOH, these are for 40-48mm tubes with up to 13" of travel:
http://www.bikebandit.com/daystar-69-se ... s?m=150170

So I guess I just need to know the size of the fork in mm and length of travel.

Many thanks.

FWIW, I discovered that the E series up to 1992 used 43mm tubes with a travel of 11.4"

I ended up purchasing the Daystar 69 series in Royal Blue. :D

Daystar 69 is what was on my 1987 KDX200 with 43mm tubes. They are the correct ones for 1986 - 1992 KDX200 and 1995+ KDX200/220R.

Great! Thanks for the confirmation.

That's a sharp looking bike Jason! I take it those are the Daystar 69 boots on your fork?
