Hi. There's a noise. I can hear it without my helmet. I stand next to the bike idling. I pull back on the clutch lever, the noise is gone. I let out the clutch lever, the noise comes back. It sounds like bad bearing. Is this something to worry about? I don't hear it at all when riding.

Both of you two need to do some reading on the KDX as this has been mentioned far to many times to count....

Because one should be aware of the noises that ones bike makes and why it makes such a noise so you can know when something is wrong.

It comes from wear on the clutch plates and basket. Too much free play where the friction plates ride against the basket. Mine was not noticeable until I filed the basket. Put a little more gear oil in and pay it no mind. Otherwise, Wiseco make a replacement basket for the H model.

Hello KIPS rattle! Nobody knows why the clutch pull quiets it down. Running a full quart in the tranny helps too, if the noise bothers you.
