Anyone had any luck restoring their old KDX plastics to their former luster? How?

I have used the razor blade and heat gun method to some success.

It takes a long time and it is difficult to get small nooks and crannies without gouging up the plastic real bad, but it will look pretty good in the end and is a lot better than paying for new plastics.

I did the wet/dry sandpaper on my tank, from 600 - 1500 grit, and then polished with mop n glo. Turned out pretty good.
