Hi all,
I'm thinking about buying an 88 kdx200 maybe this weekend... but want to get a handle on some costs first. Does anyone know what Fredette charges for a flywheel rebuild for the 86-88 bikes?

I wanted to get an estimate for this weekend as I doubt he'd be in....but I did find an old post that gives me a good enough idea - about 5 years ago it was $340.00. Ouch.

Someone a month or so ago had a conversion kit from him that was around $250. It was in the for sale forum.

For those who may be interested in C models:

(I have an extra H model flywheel) - Jeff responded to my email this morning -

"just send me the old flywheel and the stator. if the stator checks out and is still good it runs $150 to modify your stator and I keep the flywheel for parts. and then you just use the h model flywheel you have.

So, if you can get your hands on an E or H flywheel, they will work with a stator modificaton.

The cost is reasonable IMO.

So, it is a stock, unmodified rotor that is being used? He is just modifying the stock stator??
