Fork Springs?
Hey guys,
Looking at getting some new fork springs for my 95' KDX 200 but am getting conflicting reports about what size to upgrade to. My suspension right now is just way to soft. I currently weight about 220 lbs but I fluctuate between 220-225.
What fork springs? .44? .45? .46?
For the life of me I cannot seem to find an accurate chart on what springs to buy.

RaceTech Recommends 47-48kg for that weight range.

You are 220 or you are 200 in full gear, including any fanny pack, water backpack, etc.?

Thanks for the replies.
I am 220 without gear on. So I am probably around 230-240 with my gear (camel back, chest protector, helmet, neck brace, boots, etc).

I am thinking .46-ish. My 1994 KDX200 has .44's and they are a little too soft for my 220 pounds.

Thanks for all the advice guys.
I decided to go with .46 springs after talking with a few friends. Any heavier duty springs will work better than what is already in my bike which are I believe .35 which is causing me a massive headache because if even get a foot of air I bottom out >_<.
I bought some new fork seals but would you guys recommend buying a Fork Bushing kit? A link is here: http://www.amazon.com/95-06-KAWASAKI-KD ... 550&sr=1-1

.46 sounds good. What brand did you get?
Bushings? Yes.
From All Balls? No!
Try to get OEM if you can. I would not go worse then Pivotworks level quality, though. (not down to All Balls level)

So I ended up going with .46 RaceTech fork springs. I also purchased a Moose Front Fork Bushing kit out the recommendation not to buy All Balls (pivot works was a bit out of my price range).
Thanks for all the advice guys! I will let you know how it rides shortly :)

I imagine a bit stiff and bouncy in steep downhill bumps
