Hi all,
My mate rides an old 1989 KDX200 around on my farm.....with no front brakes. Now when I say no front brakes, I mean NOTHING, it is all gone. So I want to help him out for his birthday and set him up with something, it has to be cheap as the bike is a piece of junk anyway.
So first off, where would I source a new or second hand front brake rotor? Would one from another old model KX or the likes fit?
Would something like this work at all if I got a new disk and made up an adaptor for the caliper?:

Any other thoughts or suggestions? Again, it must be CHEAP.

I'd say your best bet would be searching for the stock parts used on ebay.

Front brake setup for 1989 200
Yeah, I have been searching for a while and the parts very very rarely come up!! Then if they do, they are overpriced due to the rarity of them and are never in good condition.

The 89 had a single piston caliper. so you are missing
Master Cylinder and lever
Brake Line
Caliper and pads
Rotor
Anything else?

Yeah, from what I can see, brake master and lever, brake line, caliper and pads and also a brake disk rotor.
