Which needle bearing is this on the swingarm?

Post by wakdady »

it came with my pivotworks kit, but upon installing i lost some of the needles and now i have to order a replacement bearing. i might as well get both needle bearings and the collar that goes through it.
But i can't seem to find the right part online. it's a little confusing. Any help?

so it would be the one on the bottom there.

There are three different bearings used in the linkage

One small needle bearing that goes in the shock end
Two needle bearings that go in the swingarm, although OEM has two on each side and aftermarket is usually one longer one
Six more needle bearings with collars (inner races): 4 of them go in the part with three bearing holes that the shock also goes to and two of them go in the swingarm.
I hope that is helpfull. I don't have a parts fische handy. Don't be confused if it is calling for quantity six of one of the bearings.

here are two pics. i think the parts that i am pointing to are the ones that i need. i'd like confirmation before placing an order though.

looking at the second image, it would be the bearing location that you cannot see in the diagram underneath the swingarm.

The Kawasaki part number for the 6 bearings is:

92046-1216 (BEARING-NEEDLE,22BM2816)

The sleeve is 42036-1245, (SLEEVE,15X22X57)

If the Pivotworks sleeve is the same (sorry, don't have a kit handy to check), then you can just use what came in the kit.

OK. I guess the sleeve and the bearings must match up. Thanks for pointing out the differences. You may need two OEM seals, as well.

continuing on with my questions. What are the specs for the depth to set the bearings? I've seen two different specs and i'm not sure which to follow.
