I use a standard spark plug socket with the hex on the backside along with a short box end wrench. It works perfectly on my E series. You can get them at just about any autoparts store.

The H model (maybe E too) is pretty tight around the spark plug so I made a pretty nice wrench by cutting down a 12 point spark plug socket and welding a broken ratchet handle to it. It fits real good and the 12 point makes it easier to tighten and loosen.

I went the easy route and bought a plug wrench from RM ATV. Cheap enough too, if you dont have to pay for shipping, which you dont for orders over $99.

:hmm: Actually, maybe that makes it the most expensive plug wrench ever.

Anyway I got one at RM.

I got a "waterpumper" MSR wrench with a low profile from dennis kirk years ago, and have used it a ton. It is basically the same thing as what RBates9 made, and it was maybe $8. Look there or RMATV and you should be able to find an inexpensive one to suit your needs.

$1 Harbor Freight 13/16" wrench cut in half. Tighten barely past hand tight, and use anti sieze.

I like fuzzy's suggestion. Is there anything available that is:
A. Less than $10
B. Small enough to fit well in the KDX pouch
C. Easily able access the spark plug without taking anything off the bike such as fenders, etc.
D. Doesn't require welding

I think I bought my last one at Cycle Gear, but well stocked MC shops will have them on the shelf .
