trans fluid overfill

Post by edog600 »

When I refilled my trans fluid I may have put a Lil too much in. When the bike is on its kickstand the oil is right between the 2 lines in the window but when I tilt bike up level the window is covered. I know its right at the top of the window or just above it. My gut feeling is its ok but figured I would ask cuz its not a big deal to drain and refill. Any advice would be great, thanks guys

oil may just get pushed out the clutch release shaft more than it would with the oil at the proper level. that was the case when I first bought my bike and put in 1l instead of 750ml.

maybe that was due to excess wear on the release shaft, but thats what happened...

Lots of people run a full quart since it seems to quiet down the rattle at idle. Won't hurt anything.
