i broke my front brake master cylinder like a dumbass this afternoon. can i use a master cylinder off a newer kdx or must i use one from my year bike? ive got a 91 kdx 200. thank you.

You can use pretty much any one, so long as the cable bolts up. I think I have a couple if you can't find one at a reasonable price.

I found a 2000 on ebay for 20 bucks. What u mean the cable hook up? U talking about the brake line to the caliber?

I don't see why not. In my experience they are all pretty much the same.

yea of course i get this master cylinder off a 96 kx250 today. everything bolts up and the brake line bolts right up i was thinking cool this will work till...... the damn lever and return spring is diffrent!!!!!!!! i knew i couldnt get that lucky. oh well now its either cut the kdx lever down and re-tap the hole or buy a new lever and find a spring. i guess its a heavy drinking night trying to find a solution. :drinkers:
