That was pretty quick!
Anyways, layout looks fine but the colors make it hard to read for me. Also, do we need to redo our avatars as I see they are now gone?

Re: NEW FORUM LAYOUT - Q/A, Bug Reports, etc.
I really had no choice. Our previous host would not re-enable the site until I denied access to the forums. I wanted to get back up and running as soon as possible so as not to let you guys down or leave you hanging. Not only do we have an all new layout and up to date code, we are now on a new hosting provider. I have pretty much been at this since yesterday afternoon. I did take a couple hours to nap last night. Tonight I think I am going to need to relax and have a beer or two!
As for the style, I am totally open to suggestions. There are some style databases at phpbb.com that you could look through and offer up your favorite for consideration. I'm not up to creating a style from scratch just now. I am also considering loading up a several styles, and allowing supporting members to choose the style they would like.
Avatars are on my to-do list. I should be able to bring the old avatars over. PM and Avatar privileges are something I had some difficulty with. If you are a supporting member and currently not able to PM or set avatar, please let me know.

Re: NEW FORUM LAYOUT - Q/A, Bug Reports, etc.
Have a beer 4 me tonight
I don't mind the color or font style. I guess it'd be good to have the option for different one if members have difficulties.
gee SS109 can you upload an even BIGGER picture
To the mods:
any possible way to remove the "Re: title of the tread" bit in each post:
"Re: NEW FORUM LAYOUT - Q/A, Bug Reports, etc."
seems un necessary and rather clutters the page more than anything.

Re: NEW FORUM LAYOUT - Q/A, Bug Reports, etc.
What? That pic is not that big! It is only 100k so it shouldn't hurt anyone's PC from loading quickly. What do you have your screen resolution set at? I'm at 1280x960. I guess if you are at 1024x768 or 800x600 then it would be huge!scheckaet wrote:gee SS109 can you upload an even BIGGER picture
Seriously, if the image appears too large for everyone I can make it smaller.

Probably so. This is my first experience with a phpbb3 forum, so it will be a learning experience. Thanks for the positive remarks!

Re: NEW FORUM LAYOUT - Q/A, Bug Reports, etc.
The new layout is different for sure... As with any change I think it will take a little getting use to.
Thanks for all the work to keep the site functional!
I tried to find the PM thing also and could not. Not a big deal, just saying.
(No spell check???? )

Re: NEW FORUM LAYOUT - Q/A, Bug Reports, etc.
Your screen resolution is just too low if it is taking up a large portion of your screen. However, I have shrunk it to half the original size so I hope that works a little better for everyone.

Re: NEW FORUM LAYOUT - Q/A, Bug Reports, etc.
I'm pretty sure I have PM disabled site wide. I am concerned about retaining the supporting member PM and not everyone having it. I will go ahead and turn it on and sort out the details later.
Keep the input coming guys, I want to know what you really think!

Yes, but it looks like I have to do some coding to make it work. I'll put it on the list.rbates9 wrote:Is there a spell check option?

Re: NEW FORUM LAYOUT - Q/A, Bug Reports, etc.
Up toward the top there is a option to change the font size. That might help. It is the "A" right above the [user name] by the log out.SS109 wrote:That was pretty quick!

I just noticed that none of the pictures show up in the post. There is just the code or what ever you computer people call it. Wibbenisms just isn't the same with out the pictures.
