Has any one added an ignition key to there kdx?. I have seen some universal ones that are for mx bikes or atv's.
Are these an easy bolt on is there any thing specific to watch out for when fitting?
Any advice taken
Thanks in advance Paul.
Has any body fitted an ignition key for security?

I was at the Tractor Supply House the other day looking for a lawn mower part and noticed 5 or 6 replacement ignition switches. Looked easy enough to mount somewhere.
They also looked easy enough to defeat.
If you are just trying to slow down a theft they would work.

just keep in mind that if you are planning to wire it in instead of the killswitch, it would need to be the exact opposite of what you think, open circuit with the key in and "on" and a closed circuit when the key of out or "off"

you could just hide a toggle switch somewhere as a killswitch, then use a chain and padlock to lock it down to a ground bolt...
problem is, if some dirty dog has decided he's gonna have your bike, chances are he'll get it...
i hate thieves, but not as much as mushrooms...they're just gross.

Back in high school if you left your bike in the back of your truck one of your "friends" would tend to go out and fire it up to do a nice smokey burn out in the bed of your truck for you. My solution to extend tire life was that the bike had a tether switch and I would pull the clip and take it with me. It would keep the bike from starting and if I managed to loose the "key" a zip tie would work to keep the switch out if I had to.
Like was said before if some one wants your bike they will have it. The best you can do is slow them down.
