anyone kno what size nut goes on the shaft to hold the kicker inplace? i need one and was just wondering if i could find one at work and not have to order one from the dealer.

I bought a replacement nut at Ace hardware, I believe it was a 14 x ?, cant remember the thread but was fine threaded

14mm fine is 14x1.5

One day, I put some red loctite on this nut...few years later, I forgot about that and when I removed the nut, it came with kick shaft threads in it

Use blue loctite, it isn't as strong as the red.

Red is fine, as long as you remember to use heat during removal. I definitely recommend loctite on that nut. Whether you use red or blue is up to you. I've lost that nut twice, so last time I used red loctite.

A 14 mm nut is too big. Maybe a nut that uses a 14 mm wrench
