7/8 bars on the 91.
The timing is supposed to have the main valve and sub valves closed when the rod is in and all of them open when the rod is pulled out/away from the cylinder. There are dots on top of the gears of the sub valves and the idler gear to line it all up but you can figure it out by how it works.

Really you need a manual.

Ok, great.
I used the diagram to roughly get there. Then I started with the valves all open (rod out) then slid the rod shut and made sure everything was closed fully. You'll know when it's right.

I like the forged wiseco's because they're stronger and I've had a cast oem blow up on me. but that piston was way way overdue and I should have known better.

I will say that any new piston is better than an old one and if you're wondering at all when you see it then change it.

A new cast prox will be just fine.

Ok i think ill get it. Im not going to run the bike real hard. I was thinking a new piston would b better than a beat used one with new rings.

pro-x manufactures the OEM pistons, which is what rbates meant when he said pro-x = oem. There is no difference. So, yes, you can use pro-x rings on the OEM piston.
