Does the 1157 LED bulb work with the stock A-C electrical system? Or does the system have to be converted to D-C first?

Yes, it works with AC.

Thanks. I just installed a 1157 LED brake light. And yes you're right. LED does work on KDX. Yay! Now I don't have to rewind the stator.
