so i had my tank off and figured id change out my spark plug while im at it.

i just got the bike and wasnt sure on rebuilds. anyways. i took this pic of what i could see.. looks pretty clean.. i think? also can read the serial number pretty cleanly..at least, i think its a serial number.

im very new to engines, and 2 strokes. so not really sure what it should look like..

anyways, if you looked in and saw this what would you think?

I'd think Wiseco by the look of the serial #
Not carbony which is great.
If you want to see the skirts for scoring and the cylinder just pull the exhaust and have a look.
Looks good from there though.

that thing looks brand new. what does the plug look like? i assume you've started it already?

the plug looked fine. to be honest i shouldnt of even bothered changing it, but i figured plugs are cheap, and im in there already. yes ive started it.

starts first kick. doesnt idle properly unless i stay on the throttle.. i think i just need to adjust the idle screw, but im gonna take it out on saturday and see how she runs once shes warmed up before i adjust anything.

could also be bad gas. the gas that was in there was a year old.. we'll see how she is on new gas

Check your float bowl height and make sure it is in spec. You may not be getting enough fuel because it is misadjusted. Oh and if you don't have it yet, get the service manual.
