I'm runnung a Baja Designs now that came with the bike. The 35w bulb and stock stator are ok but, but these things need more juice. I have a Trail Tech X2 dual sport light that's on my Husky right now that works great. Once I get the KDX stator on, I'll be switching it to the X2.

I like the MX rear fender and Baja Designs LED. Bright, has a plate light and doesn't use much electricity.

i run a stock headlight and have converted the taillight to run regular 1057 (i believe) bulbs and it sucks
if i hit the brake the brake light comes on and the headlight goes off

i have ran LEDs on both sides but niether of them stood up well to the vibrations on the KDX

The best I could come up with using the stock stator was running a 35 watt Super Spots bulb and two cheapy Autozone 1157 LED "bulbs" soldered together and wedged under the stock lens. It worked well until I tore my bike down for a complete rebuild. It was good for street riding up to about 35mph but that is about it.

After the rebuild I will have a rewound stator, Polisport MMX headlight running either a 45 or 60 watt bulb, and a Tusk LED taillight. Should be much brighter and actually somewhat usable off road.

LED do not work with A/C system, right? You would have to add a rectifier to convert to D/C, if you want to use LED, right?

How awful do you think this taillight would llook on KDX?

Would look like most factory type dualsport M/C's and SR type KDX's. It would work but it is a little bulky IMO.

+1, LED tail/brake lights will work off AC. LED turn signals however, need a special flasher that is said to require DC.
