A guy in my enduro club blown is 220 2003 stock piston skirt. The bike have 300miles. He went at the kawi dealer and they(dealer) will pay for a new cylinder, piston, rings, and gaskets. But he(the guy) must pay for bearings and labour. Of course,he will put a wicesco in.... sounds right?
How many owners in this group had blown their stock 220 pistons?
Does your dealer paid for this?

I'm glad a changed mine out too. It was my first mod. on the bike. Seams kinda silly to have to take a brand new piston out for fear of it imploding. This just confirms it though. I don't understand why they are making this guy pay or the labor. We all know this is a potential problem for these bikes.
