hey guys, i know this has been beaten to death but i got ask
how do i make turn signals flash on my KDX ?
i pieced together a set up of LED turn signals and a nice switch
everything works but i can not get them to flash (im guessing non of the flashers are compatible with the AC system)
i tried the regular flashers aswell as the ones intended for LED lights but still no dice
im running a stock stator so installed a rectifier will not do (tried it, dropped the output down and dims the lights way too much)
any suggestions ?

lighting system. Your range will be limited if you run the headlight. Running
just the brake and turn lights, a 4-5Ah battery should last all day. A 35W
headlight will suck that dry pretty quick.
I did the Rectifier/Regulator with a battery conversion on my KDX240SM with
great results. Make sure you isolate the rectifier from the frame. All of
the lighting system needs to be free of any frame grounds. I grounded
all the lighting to the negative side of the battery. Nothing touches the
frame, except the ignition system, which I kept stock.
I should do a write up on my project, but, I am pretty lazy and may not
get around to it any time soon. You may find some info in my past posts
if you search on "KDX240SM" *HINT* I used a complete wiring harness
I got from a Canadian model GasGas EC250. It had all the connectors
for the brakes, turn lights, horn and running lights already done. Made
the job way easy....sort of.

i use my bike mainly as a daily commuter and i am not looking forward to pulling the seat of to get to a battery every night so i can ride the next day
i tried the rectifier but it just drops down the output way too far
(as it is hitting the brakes will kill the headlight)
im afraid the best option is a stator rewind and then ad a rectifier but im just not up to that right now
