Titanium silencer weird smell

Post by KDXrider1989 »

Tried the "new" titanium silencer today and went for a fast ride, up to top speed. Then I parked it inside my garage and noticed the weird smell, kinda like the smell you get from running a cordless drill. It had a lil bit of smoke still in the silencer after I parked it, but I'm pretty sure thats normal. Maybe I just need to re-pack it? Or is it the metal itself that smells like that, or something worse?

Probably just the protective coatings burning off. Should go away after a few rides. It probably had cosmoline or some kind of oil on it.
This is my rifle, this is my gun, the YZ to go fast, the KDX is for fun!

Those are coated internally and externally with a thin film of oil. Completely normal!
