89 kdx fuel tank on 88 kdx? Will it work?

Hey guys just wondering if the 89 kdx fuel tank and radiotor plastics will work on my 88 kdx? I like the look and thought it would be coool if it fit. Anyone know if it would work?

Well, you have no radiators to bolt the shrouds to, so it would be kind of awkward. You'd need some kind of big bracket to support the bottom of the shrouds. Also, the seat is quite different. The 89 seat rides up on the tank about 5 or 6 inches, where the 88 seat stops flush with the edge.
