kdx 220 piston help please.

i just picked up a 97 kdx 220.I pulled the head today to make sure it didnt have the stock gernade in it.thank god it doesnt but i cant id the piston.its not a wiseco part number.the numbers are a7959 then in the middle of the piston 8003 under that is 71.95mm.I know the stock bore is 69mm.any help would be great thanks.

where is the a7959 stamped?

on top of the piston closer to the reeds.

could be an ART piston, which would indeed be the same as the stock grenade. As far as I know, the only options for a 220 piston were cast OEM variants, (art, pro-x, oem), or Wiseco. So if it's not a wiseco, you should probably replace it.

71.95mm, a 240 kit maybe. Does it have a sleeve?

Ah, missed the oversize. Yes, I suppose it could be a big bore. Wiseco doesn't offer anything larger than 70mm for the 220.

i havnt pulled the jug just the head.it does look like it has been sleeved.where can i get an oversized head gasket?im gonna call eric gorrs forward motion he might know who makes this piston.
