k-30 revpipe fitment

Post by canamfan »

I recently bought a used fmf revpipe, took my torque pipe off put on the rev and have some fitment issues, just wondering if this is normal. Looks like the top mount under the gas tank is angled in and won't line up the pipe is rubbing a radiator hose and the mounts for the silencer are about 1/2 inch pushed back. It looks to me like the whole pipe needs to move forward. It's possible the pipe could be tweaked back a little from a hit on the head pipe as it has a few old dents that look like have been repaired. What kind of problems have you guys had with fitment?

thanks Steve

Well I guess I'll have to reply to myself. Been out trying to get the rev pipe to fit and with a few adjustments (minor bending) it did. Took it out in the dark no headlight and wow quite a difference, definetly has a strong hit in the upper rpm range but still has good torque, bike is stock except for boyseen reeds. I like it.
