Tire sizing?
Picked up a set of geomax's for cheap, an mx51 up front and an mx31 for the rear. The tires on my CR 125 are a 80/100-21 front and 100/90-19 rear, these new ones are 90/100-21 front and 110/80-19 rear. How would a wider front tire perform? How would a lower-profile rear tire perform?

The rear that you got will only be about 2mm shorter, but 10mm wider, than the one you had. Your new front one will be 10mm wider and 10mm taller than your old one.
Tire sizes break down to (width in mm/ aspect ratio, side wall height figured as a percentage of width/ rim diameter) so it could also read 100mm/90%-19"

How would a taller, wider front tire affect handling, if it even will?david wrote:The rear that you got will only be about 2mm shorter, but 10mm wider, than the one you had. Your new front one will be 10mm wider and 10mm taller than your old one.
