Grease

Post by parker72001 »

I just got my service manuals last night and was reading up on how to grease the linkage and swingarm. It says "apply plenty of molybdenum disulfide grease to inside of needle bearing and outside of sleeves". Just wondering is that grease special or is bel-ray fine. Thanks.

The Bel-Ray should work fine.

Just make sure to remove and grease everything. Grease contrary to Ma Kawi's rumor mill is not made with real gold nuggets. Use a lot, wipe up the left over.

Just take the sleeves out of the needle bearings and then clean all the bearings while they are still in their setting. Use too much in stead of too little. You can wipe off the extra.

the clear blue belray waterproof grease works GREAT out here in California. I check mine every season and the grease aways seems fresh and clean.
