I'm new to the KDX and just got mine over the summer and was wondering what maintinence I should do/what do you guys do over the winter to prepare your bike for next season? I was thinking change air filter, oil and not sure what else? I have also heard of a little screw on the bottom of the silencer you should undo to let liquid out or something? Is this true?
Thanks, I really appreciate it.

You should be cleaning your air filter after every ride and oil every 10 hours or so.

Grease all the bearings: steering, swing arm, and linkage. This should be done at least once a year.

I'll be doing swingarm, linkage, and wheel bearings this winter. Fun. I may also throw a fresh piston in it.

that sounds smart, if it's only like $150, why not just stay ahead of it.

We don't really have an "off" season here but I basically do the same stuff everyone else does. I start by a thorough cleaning of everything when disassembling the bike. Clean and lube all bearing. Inspect and clean KIPS. Reassemble and ride!
