200 jetting

Post by Jess10 »

I just finished a top end on my kdx with a recoat and wiesco and have noticed the jetting is off from before I belive, Ill give you some specs of the bike it has a fmf woods pipe powercore2 boysen rad valve with power reeds jetting is 45 160 with the mixture screw 2 turns out (were it ran the best before top end) needle is stock and 2nd clip from the top.

The only time I find its rich is when I warm it up I let it idle a minuite or so then blup the throttle for another 30 seconds and as soon as I get on its boggy and wont get into power its all loaded up and it takes a good 3 or 4 mins of riding to clear it up. It seems fine most of the day but if you idling around too long it will start to foul up a bit. Should I be moving to a lower pilot? the main seems big but it pulls well up top.

You could almost certainly drop that main jet a couple sizes. Best to follow the jetting procedure though!
