I don't think I have ever seen an LED headlight for ANYTHING. Turn signals and brake lights, but not headlights. While bright, the beam is not focused enough for that.

A guy I ride with is running this headlight. It works great for trail riding but doesn't throw quite as far as an HID. It draws only 1.9 amps though.

I forgot about those things. I worked with a guy that had one of those light bars on his King Of the Hammers racing Jeep. The optics make the difference and it takes multiple bulbs to work as a headlight.

There are some direct fit LED bulbs. Someone linked them here at some point... try a quick search, maybe? If not, someone may post up with the info.

I bet I could smash that to smithereens in one good tight singltrack ride

I can't wait for a good LED headlight designed for a dirt bike or dual sport. I've tried LED H4 style bulbs and they sucked.

I've seen some adaptations of bright ass LED race lights that are overkill and expensive for my needs.

The only one I've seen that looks interesting to me is by Husky guru George Erl at Uptite Racing. Looks like it might fit the bill, even if it's a little $$.
