Hello all, I just bought a 1994 KDX250 and have spent the weekend cleaning, tuning and fixin her up, as well as lurking here. She seems faily stock except for jetting and FMF Fatty pipe. She's a little 2 wheel tractor! I have a few questions for you gurus out there.

1. I need a set of fork gaurds, both upper and lower, what is the closest aftermarket substitute application (trimming/drilling ok)? 1993 KX250?

2. Best rear fender substitute?

3. Closest graphics kit application?

4. What model for wheel swaps, early 90s KX? late 90s? late KDX200?

Thanks All

1. Ebay is the only place to find originals. I don't know what later guards might be adaptable.

2. There isn't one

3. There isn't any unless you go full custom,

4. I'm not sure and have never heard of anyone doing any.

I may have a used set of fork guards left from my KDX250. I'm not sure if anyone has swapped a KX set or not. I'm not sure if new ones are readily available or not.

There are fender substitutes if you drill new holes. Certain KX250's can be made to fit and maybe KX500's. I am not exactly sure which years. Can't use a light with these though.

Graphics kits are not available. Here is a link to a guy who made his own.

They are discontinued from the factory.

The KX500 is a no go as it is closer to the E series type chassis. It wouldn't line up at all with the KDX250's bodywork. Now, the KX250 is a possibility but I still think the alignment would be off.

The alignment isn't too far off with the 250 fender. I've seen a KDX250 with a KX250 fender before. I can't remember what year the guy said it was from, but it looked awesome. Said he just had to drill new holes and trim something slightly.
Never seen a KX500 fender on one in real life, but I thought I read about that somewhere.

With as many pics I've seen of KX250 fenders on the KDX250, I'd think it would be fairly easy.
