Is it a waste of money to RB my carb and not replace the reed cage?

not at all a waste. you need to replace only if:
a: you want better ones.
b: your current ones are damaged, chipped, cracked...

You can get boysen for 40 bux or so, best bang for the buck.

+1

You do not need a new cage but you probably will want new reeds for the stock cage at least. Your current reeds are probably in need of replacement any way.

When I installed my RB'd Airstriker I also installed new Boyesen 607 reeds. I am very satisfied with the results.

RBD is the fastest company I ever worked with, his turnaround is extremely fast. I bet if you send it Monday morning you'd get it easily by friday.

Wow! That would be great.

I will give RB a call to see if I can make that happen.

Thank you,

If you are worried about down time send another money order for a new jet block gasket and float bowl gasket.

Could be, but it could happen again. I am happy with the work, just the delay of mailing another money order to get the job completed sucked.

RB went out of his way to get my stuff back to me in a hurry. I sent the shipment on Tuesday, he received it on Thursday, & I had everything back that Saturday. VA to Oregon & back in 5 days!
As for reeds, I installed Boysen 607's at the same time & I am more than satisfied with the whole shooting match. Git'er done... you will not be disappointed. RB's work is worth every penny & more. :prayer:
