bearing removal

So i noticed some crunching on the back end and figured it was time to change the rear shock and linkage bearings. I've got the whole back end apart but the bearings are stuck in the linkage and won't seem to come out of the bike. I've tried jamming on them and torching them but they're in there pretty good. Does anyone have any suggestions to how to get these little bastards out ?

A real press works well

I use a large bench vice and sockets

I've also used a length of threaded rod and sockets

I've never had any succes trying to beat them out with a hammer

Do a search on here, many people have experienced the joy of pushing shot bearings out of the linkage.

Yes, I use the vice/socket/torch method. Works every time.

Press works good, but a bearing driver set will also work
